Microsoft, the builder of windows platform has evolved from Windows 95 in the 90s
to Windows10 today. And no doubt it has made a great
evolution in the field of Operating Systems for computers. The evolution include overall like- looks, performance, processing speeds, multi-tasking,
sharing features, security systems, user friendly interface, troubleshooting
techniques, debugging and etc. So talking about the latest news about Microsoft
is that it has released its most powerful and amazing Windows packing all new
latest features into one combo called as Windows 10. Just having a glance on
the Windows 10 you UI one can frankly say that it is a hybrid of the
combination of Windows 7 and Windows 8. The looks of it are a combination of
Windows 7 and 8 which makes it eye catching and attract people to hover your
hand over it. The folder designs and the icons designed for Windows 10 do look
more realistic and formally stylish for an enhanced & attractive look. So let's take an overview of Windows 10.

System Requirements:
Minimum system requirements for your device (PC or Tab) to get Windows
10 installed are:
Processor
1 Gigahertz(GHz) or faster
RAM
1 Gb for 32 bit OS, 2 Gb for 64 bit OS
Hard Disk
Minimum 16 Gb for 32 bit OS, 32 Gb for 64 bit
OS
Windows 10 Features:
Like its previous version Windows it has built in almost all features in
this version. And in case it has removed some features present in previous
Windows, it has alternately added challenging features in this latest version
i.e. Windows 10.
Start Menu:

It's something like a boon for Windows 8 detractors who
have been wondering in search for the previous window’s start menu. Many users
also tried to install skin packs which would change the look of Windows 8
start. But finally Microsoft has brought back the Start Menu in a hybrid and
more customizable form to its users. Now, when you click on the Start Menu of
Windows 10 at the bottom left of the screen as usually placed, you get two
panels side by side, with the left column showing pinned, recently installed
and most-used apps and the right panel portrays the apps in tiles format as in
windows 8. The right column features a collection of live tiles that are
customizable, re-sizable and etc. Additionally the searching panel at the bottom
not only searches programs or apps in the computer but also searches related
items online if you are in a connected to the internet. In the Windows 7 it
used to search only the entire computer for the searched files and programs but
now it has a capability to search related tags online.
The Start menu also has a flexibility to be expanded to
full screen mode with the desktop wallpaper acting as a translucent background
imparting a modern stylish look as in case of Windows 8.1.
Improved Multitasking:
Windows 10 has added a new Multiple Desktops feature
which lets one to run another set of windows like on another screen,
without a monitor. This feature is similar to Apple's SPACES feature
present in OS X, and helps manage a number of opened windows and apps, instead
of having multiple windows open on top of each other on a single desktop. In simple words it enables one to set up a virtual
desktop for the purpose if easy multitasking. It makes easy for you to open a
number of programs like- movies, entertainment, internet surfing and etc. and
keep these Windows in a specific virtual Window and again open a new window for
another type of work, say as documentary work. Switching between windows can be
done by using Alt-Tab combination as keyboard shortcut or in case of touch
sensing devices you can hit on the “Task View” button present on the task bar
or you can swipe in from the left edge towards right of the screen oriented
correctly.
Cortana:
Windows 10 has a built in feature which
enables voice assistant engine called as CORTANA. Its digital assisting feature
is so flexible that it provokes you to run your PC with lifting your fingers
over it. All the tasks which you were supposed to do over mouse clicks or with
the help of keyboard can be done just by ordering your computer to do so.
Simply you can say that being lazy will cost you nothing but your voice. Just
tell your computer what you need to do as you used to ask your friend or
somebody to do when you got bored of working.
Spartan Browser:
The time has come, say
good bye to Internet Explorer. The boring slow browser is no more a only option
in this OS. With addition to Internet Explorer Windows 10 has introduced its
SPARTAN browser which imparts a super fast for browsing experience. It also
includes PDF reader. And the most superb thing is that Spartan is featured with
Cortana support built in the browser, so that she can pull related information
from the corresponding sites so that it makes easy for you to navigate
throughout the net without spending hours to surf over it.
Flexible Continuum:
As
Laptops have developed to such an extent that they do possess a detachable LCD
from the keyboard part Windows 10 is built in such a way that it recognizes
wheather the device is being used as Tab or Laptop. The OS detects if you plug
in a keyboard or mouse and switch alternate modes for more convenient user
interaction. If you unplug the keyboard or mouse from its USB hub, a
notification pops up from the task bar at the bottom, asking if you want to
activate “Tablet mode”. When you accept it, it portrays you a more
touch-friendly User Interface. Again when you Dock your Tab onto the keyboard,
it prompts the same message once more asking if you want to exit the “Tablet mode”. This
feature of Windows 10 makes it compatible and flexible to be installed in a PC
and Tab both.
Optimized Settings
& Control Panel:
The Settings and Control Panel both instead
of having two apps to control a device Windows 10 has merged both of them into
one unit. It allows you to enter into Control panel from the Settings itself.
It has reduced the confusion of searching for specific Icons i.e one for
Settings and the other for Control Panel.
The above mentioned features and functions are a part of Windows 10 and can be so called as just an overview of Windows 10. The Windows has much more features which can be explored just after you get it installed.
